H. David Kittrell has lived in Nashville his whole life, and his family has been in Tennessee for generations. He remained in Nashville for his education, graduating from Vanderbilt University magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in both English and Classical Studies. He obtained his Doctorate of Jurisprudence at the Nashville School of Law and received his law license in October 2012.

While in law school David clerked for one of the city’s major Medical Malpractice firms, where he assisted in the settlement and trial of multi-million dollar cases. As an attorney in private practice, David successfully settled several personal injury cases, defended clients in criminal prosecutions, and defended employers in wage disputes. He also drafted wills, prepared estates, and helped people found new corporations and LLCs.

David joined CLG in August 2017 after winding down his private practice and has used his experience in civil litigation to expand the firm’s scope to include personal injury cases and other areas of his experience. His major focuses of practice are divorce, criminal defense, personal injury, and juvenile law.
David lives in west Nashville with his wife, Taren.
