Litigation and immigration attorney
Oscar is an attorney with Community Law Group, specializing in immigration law in the Nashville and Chattanooga offices. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with two bachelor’s degrees in public administration and finance, and earned a J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law. During her time there, she was part of the Immigrant Assistance Project, helping the Knoxville immigrant community.
His passion for immigration stems from his own experience, as his parents immigrated from Mexico and he assisted them in their immigration process. Since 2012, he has assisted thousands of people in obtaining immigration status. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee and at the federal level, and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Oscar also volunteers at his church and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

Since he began practicing immigration law in 2012, he has gained significant experience in various areas of this specialty, successfully representing clients in a variety of complex situations. His work ranges from deportation defense to family-based petition management, providing comprehensive guidance at every stage of the immigration process. He has also handled waivers to avoid inadmissibility, helping clients overcome legal obstacles on their path to residency. In addition, she has experience in consular processing, facilitating the obtaining of visas abroad and ensuring that cases are handled efficiently with the appropriate authorities. Over the years, she has worked on juvenile immigration cases (SIJS), assisting unaccompanied minors in regularizing their status, as well as filing predicate orders to ensure proper enforcement of immigration court ru
She has been actively involved in the Immigrant Assistance Project, providing legal support and guidance to immigrants in the Knox County area.During this time, she has worked closely with families and individuals facing immigration challenges, helping them understand their legal rights and options, and guiding them in filing applications and documents necessary for their immigration status.In addition, she has assisted in deportation cases and in obtaining immigration benefits, ensuring that each case is handled with the utmost care and professionalism.
Outside of his legal practice, he also volunteers at his local church, where he participates in various community activities that seek to support people in vulnerable situations, including the immigrant population.These experiences have allowed him to gain a deeper understanding of the needs of immigrant communities and reinforce his commitment to providing legal services that not only focus on positive outcomes, but also on the overall well-being of his clients.
