Expanding Law Firm is looking for an associate attorney
with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Family and Criminal defense
law. We are looking to hire lawyers with
a vision of expansion and desire to grow. We offer the security of a salary in
addition to the opportunity of bonuses based on performance and an increase in
salary per year when the revenue goals are surpassed.

You will bring a number of skills to this job including:
- Ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, logically and succinctly (both verbally and in writing);
- Work with teammates in a professional and solutions-oriented manner;
- Disciplined adherence to best practices, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure;
- Ability to work both independently and under supervision;
- Basic knowledge of MS 365, pdf, excel, proficient typing;
- Have an innate love for zealously representing immigrants before immigration authorities;
- Ability to identify, analyze and research legal issues affecting the organization, and make recommendations to address the problem;
- A genuine interest in working with immigrants and victims of trauma.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Consult with prospective clients.
- Represent clients in Family and Criminal proceedings.
- Efficient and Productive Case and client
management. - Timely communication with opposing counsel.
- Quality legal work product, timely filing of
motions and other legal documents. - Is accountable and responsible able to provide
reports using case management software to management. - Effective delegation and proper use of attorney
and legal assistant time. - Meet Individual goals and contribute to meeting
Firm goals, therefore must work well independently and with a team. - Bilingual in English and Spanish is a Plus+.
- Must be licensed and able to practice law in Tennessee.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge of pertinent law and local procedure.
- Strong litigation experience and capabilities, experience with mediation, negotiations, legal research and writing.
- The ability to develop and mentor others on trial advocacy is a plus+.
- Strategic, forward-focused mindset.
- Embraces simplification and innovative opportunities with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
- Ability to effectively collaborate, build consensus and influence outcomes.
- Agility to navigate a fast pace with a positive attitude and aptitude.
- Effective problem solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly regarding summarizing complex legal and procedural issues.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle as travel in Nashville and the surrounding county is required.
- Strong desire to grow and advance with our firm.
- Knowledge of immigration law and procedure.
- Law Degree with current authorization to practice imm.
